What we offer
A local yard with real history behind it
Clearing metal shouldn't feel like hard work, and waiting around for payment helps nobody. We've kept that in mind at I Hayward Ltd since 1951, building a straightforward service that still feels friendly and personal. Passed through the Hayward family and now run by two women, we've held on to the honest approach people remember while keeping pace with the way recycling works today. When you bring us scrap or ask us to collect it, we focus on fair prices, quick turnarounds and getting money into your hands without fuss.

Love coming to Haywards. Always very prompt and friendly service. The gorgeous lady in the office is very friendly and helpful. Great way to recycle and get a bit of cash.
Straightforward help when scrap starts piling up
Your yard, driveway or work site can fill up fast when old metal piles up there. We handle everything from household scrap and factory offcuts to vehicle recycling and skip collections, so you can clear space and move on. We are fully licensed, and we buy both ferrous and non-ferrous metals and support you with a service that stays practical from start to finish. If you've got more than 2 tonnes to shift, we can even arrange free skip hire through our scrap collection service.
